Show It to Them
Find the best time that your parents are in their best mood. Don't wait for them to ask how you did in school. Show them your report card. Tell them your good grades first followed by the bad grade. It is better they knew it from you than from anybody else.
Be honest. Tell them the reason for getting a bad grade. For example, you were late in taking the final exam or the teacher have given a very difficult exam and half of the class didn't make it also. Or maybe your teacher doesn't like you. Just try to be good and do better in class. Never come up with unreasonable excuses.
Apology
Tell them your sorry and you won't do it again. Cry if that's how you feel and show them that you're not happy having it.
Still Upset
If your parents are really mad, tell them to lower down their voices. Just listen to them and agree about the things you have done wrong. Accept that it's really your fault.Anyway it is just for your own good. If they still don't care, just keep them yelling. Never leave or yell back at them, this will lead to further conflict. Parents sometimes give abrupt decision when they are mad. They might ground you or the worst, halt your studies. If the situation is getting worst, go to your room or to the bathroom and wait until they calm down.
Better Luck Next Time
Tell your parents again you are sorry and do better in class to compensate for the bad grade. Manage your time and improve your study habits. It's not easy to earn good grades, just believe in your self and keep trying. It's never too late.
